On offer here,from my own collection,is a superb near MINT condition original 1970 UK Decca label Blue & Silver text 1st pressing vinyl LP (SKL-R.5052) with laminated Robert Stace front sleeve,of the brilliant 2nd CARAVAN album "If I Could Do It All Over Again,I'd Do It All Over You".You are bidding on a STUNNING and MEGA RARE UK Decca 1st press copy in superb top condition. I doubt if you can find a better original copy of this seminal British progressive / psych rock masterpiece! The original laminated Robert Stace sleeve is in fantastic condition,the corners and the spine are strong and sharp with only very tiny,hardly noticeable edge creases.The chunky thick heavyweight vinyl is in near MINT condition,it is bright & shiny with NO groove wear (this is common on most albums from the era,caused by the big heavy needles used during the 60's & 70's).The vintage Blue & Silver text Decca labels are excellent,with just faint spindle lines visible,side two has a near invisible small circular stamp (see photo six).The album comes complete with it's original Decca '4 squares' blue & white "Made In England" polylined inner sleeve,which is in excellent + condition.

This is a truly SUPERB copy of an all-time CLASSIC British 70's progressive / psych album ~ Great Band,Great Album! ~ Don't Miss It!!!

NOTES: A truly outstanding original copy of this classic British progressive / psych rock album by Canterbury legends CARAVAN,without doubt one of the finest band's from the period.This is their highly acclaimed 2nd LP which you don't see that often,especially in such great condition as this one is in! Here's a really wonderful album up for your consideration... An original UK Decca 1st press copy of CARAVAN'S fabulous 2nd LP "If I Could Do It All Over Again,I'd Do It All Over You".Coming hot on the heels of their very illusive debut LP released on the Verve Record label.This one was a change of label but not a change of style with such great song's as :- "Hello Hello","For Richard","Francoise","Don't Worry" and of course the title track!"Caravan followed up their eponymous debut with this cryptically titled slice of prog / psych heaven "If I Could Do It All Over Again,I'd Do It All Over You" in the autumn of 1970. "If I Could Do It All Over Again..."contains significant progressions over the first album.These include the intricacy with which compositions are sculpted around some of the finest instrumental improvisation in British rock at the time — or arguably since. Caravan's uncanny ability to create a montage that effortlessly manoeuvres through acoustic folk and electric progressive rock is best exemplified on the "With an Ear to the Ground" suite. The extended instrumental passages weave in and out of each other,creating a hypnotic and otherwise psychedelic soundscape that would become a trademark of the European progressive rock movement. Another epic, "For Richard" quickly found solid standing as the Caravan live performance closer for decades after first appearing on this album. Juxtaposed against these pieces are several shorter works, which in essence clear the palette for the longer ones. The title track, as well as "Hello, Hello" are perfect examples of how Caravan were able to one-up many of their progressive contemporaries, creating shorter and more accessible songs for radio airplay.

Very rare original UK 1st press of this justly legendary album which would be a GREAT addition to any CARAVAN collection or progressive / psych rock collection ~ A vital LP very highly recommended ~ A progressive rock masterpiece!!
