Description

This is an Auction for the third Lp by Caravan released in the UK in 1971 on Deram Catalogue Number Deram SDL -R-1. This superb copy is a rare first press with the matrix numbers ZAL 10424-P- 1D and ZAL 10425-P-1D which were only used for the very first press of this Lp. It also has the the very early mother stampers of 1 uu and 1 m.

The vinyl is visually in excellent condition in fact side 1 is in excellent++ condition. Side 2 has 3 very light superficial marks but it still looks great. I have listened to the whole Lp at high volume and it sounds superb. It sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. The sounds is clear and vibrant with excellent seperation. There is some light background noise which does not detract from the music so overall i am happy to grade the audio as Excellent. A real pleasure to listen too.

The labels are in excellent condition.

The gatefold sleeve is in very good condition with some storage wear to the top of the spine and other light signs of storage wear. It still looks great when it is opened.

Overall a really nice copy of this Classic Lp.

Please check my listings for other classic rock LP's

I use the Record Collector grading system to grade my records-please see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of £2.50. I will pay the extra. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
