THIS is part of a collection of promo vinyl that I'll be listing over the next few months. It comes from a prominent 1990s NME journalist. 

IT is a white label test pressing, manufactured in 1989 for The Alphabet Business Concern, of the On The Land And In The Sea LP by Cardiacs. This rare item was used as a promo by Alan James PR to send to the NME for review. Each side bears a sticker with the track listing and the record is housed in its original generic poly-lined die cut white sleeve. Also included is the PRESS RELEASE (redacted in the photo to prevent copying), which includes a short hand written note to the journalist from Alan James. Only one of these has ever appeared on Discogs and it sold in 2019 for £40. This one is the actual record that was used for the NME review.

A NOTE ABOUT PROMO VINYL ITEMS: They were produced in small quantities by record companies in advance of release date for music business people like record company staff, journalists etc. They were each from a one-off copy run for the record label and were never on sale to the public. 

Everything I list is on a similar coloured background so that you know they are my own photos. 

I am the first and only owner of everything I list unless stated otherwise.

PACKAGING: Your item will be sent mailing envelope designed for 12" records with an additional cardboard stiffener.

The postage & packing charge for this item is the same or less than what it costs for stamps, packaging, and a minimum of 13.5% of the p&p charge taken by eBay & Paypal (yes, they really do that!).
