Description
First recordings of master pianist Carl Friedberg, one of the last students of Clara Schumann.
Friedberg was in his 80's when he recorded this in New York in 1953. He was a legendary pianist in his time but declined to record. This is one of the only records of his musicianship. Includes pieces by Robert Schumann and Brahms (see photos)
Limited edition record is in near mint state and was well taken care of, but may be noisy due to dust accumulated over time. A thorough cleaning is recommended before playing. The cardboard sleeve is discolored around edges due to age and some split seams but is intact. A new inner sleeve is provided as well as outside plastic cover.
