I HAVE SOME RARE UK DUB LPs LISTED THIS WEEK. ALL THE VINYL IS IN LOVELY CONDITION AND ABOVE ALL ELSE, PLAYS SUPERBLY. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK.
CARL HARVEY meets THE DUB MASTER – Ecstasy Of Mankind ORIG Cancer LP / CAN 003 (UK, Stereo, 1978)
Happy to present this rare late 70s Bunny Lee production partly recorded at Joe Gibbs’ studio and featuring the guitar talents of Carl Harvey with a stellar supporting cast including Sly & Robbie, Lloyd Parks and Jackie Mittoo among others.
The single format non-laminated sleeve has held up very well indeed for its 32 years and is in all round EX (Excellent) condition with NO creasing at all, no splits or tears and no writing. There’s just a little light rubbing to the edges and spine (hardly visible) and some light ring impression to the top but corners are still good and spine is still strong and not compressed.
The original red Cancer labels are in fine shape with no real discernible spindle trails and no writing or stickers.
The medium weight vinyl is in great shape for an album in this genre. There’s only one light scuff to one side and some ultra faint, near invisible removal traces. Grades a minimum EX (Excellent), if not + and in truth is close to Mint. Has been listened to and plays superbly with no nasties, crackle or repetitive clicks. A few (4!)isolated ticks on the A were all I picked up, while the B played through without any audio blemish.
A rare LP in any condition, but this is very strong and fresh throughout. No reserve.
