Description

This is the SUPER RARE Carl Perkins Sun Record Company, 706 Union Ave., Memphis, Tenn., LP 1225, Microgroove. Titled "Dance Album of... Carl Perkins". Released in 1957. This is an origianal 1957 pressing and not a re-issue or bootleg. From what I'm told and read this is one of the rarest (if not the rarest) and hardest rockabilly LPs to find and has doubled in price in just the last few years and will likely do so in the next few. I know nothing about grading albums. I just bought this one many years ago because I liked the the cover and only recently found out it was very rare. So I will try to describe it as well as possible. Check my feedback, most people think what I sell is in better condition than what I say items are. Here goes. Top and side seam is completely split and a partial split at bottom. There is light dinginess on cover, but colors are very nice and still bright with light ring wear, actually I would say almost no ring wear. Cover actualy still has shine too it. I have always had it in a Mylar sleeve so that has helped a lot in protecting it. There are no marks, writing, tape, tape marks or tape residue on the cover anywhere, it's hard to find on old album cover without one of these on it. The record looks fairly nice to me. As with most any records this age it has scratching. I see nothing that looks really bad to me. I did play it and it did ok on my player. I can say recordings have come a long way since 1957. Record for the most part is bright and shiny. Both labels are very clean. They look almost unused. Kind of tuff to get great pictures, but hopefully these will show you that this is a pretty nice album. Any questions, please e-mail. Money orders ok, checks must clear.
