CARL SHERLOCK HOLMES INVESTIGATION "INVESTIGATION NO. 1" LP - On CRS Records, CRS-01.  Incredibly RARE Original FIRST pressing LP on the small label CRS out of Philadelphia, PA - NOT A REISSUE.  Monster Indie Funk/Breaks record with all great mostly original songs!!  This LP succeeds in "closing the gap between R&B, jazz and psychedelic rock by the creation of a sound that is funky, mellow, intricately soulful and explosive, yet uniquely disciplined in its complexity" (liner notes).  The vinyl is in NM condition (beautiful gloss) and plays great!!  The cover is in excellent shape and is still mostly protected by the cellophane shrink wrap!  Upper right has some small tears/contact wear on front side only.  NO significant seam splits, NO cut-out marks of any kind.  The songs are:  Investigation; Close To You; Black Bag; Think It Over; Modesa; Your Game; Get Down Philly Town; It Ain't Right.  A serious find for soul/funk collectors!
