Condizioni : copertina che presenta una macchiolina bruna nella parte alta a destra del lato frontale e moderate tracce d'usura sugli angoli; grande stato, EX+ / vinile in grande stato : giusto pochi minimi segnetti causati dal contatto con la copertina interna e un paio di leggerissimi clicchettii; grande stato, NEAR MINT

Condition : cover shows a little brown spot on the right upper part of the front and some moderate wear around the corners, EX+ / vinyl is in great shape, just a few minimal cosmetic rubs and a couple of slightest clicks, NEAR MINT

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : un film amaro come le sue belle musiche. Due i fili conduttori caratterizzanti la sua colonna sonora. Il tema principale: un bellissimo valzer dalla costruzione sofisticata e dal buon sviluppo dinamico progressivamente sempre più intenso e con un pianoforte dalle note pungenti, un'eccellente sezione ritmica, irruenza sonora da parte del resto dell’orchestra. Lo troviamo per la prima volta nei titoli d'apertura " Il Viaggio in Italia " (a1) e con alcune più o meno significative variazioni in a4, b4 e b5. La gioia di vivere che la musica sembra esprimere, in realtà cela un profondo senso d’amarezza.  Il secondo fattore risiede nell'alta drammaticità di tutte le altre tracce dove poche note cupe che caratterizzano il loro inizio, vengono suonate a turno dai violini, dall’organo, dal basso e dal piano. Questa sorta di "incipit" che in verità troviamo ripetuto anche in altri momenti di ciascun brano, sottolinea la disperazione e l’angoscia del detenuto innocente spesso riflessa da suoni tenui e minimali che creano una dimensione musicale ipnotica. In conclusione, ottima musica, a mio modesto avviso da considerarsi una delle migliori colonne sonore di Rustichelli. Aggungo che ci sono delle somiglianze stilistiche con i lavori di Morricone anche per la presenza di Bruno Nicolai che dirige l’orchestra.

Notes : a bitter film as its beautiful music. The principal factors characterizing the soundtrack are two. The main theme: a beautiful waltz by the sophisticated structure and good dynamic development progressively more and more intense and with sharp piano notes, an excellent rhythm section, musical impetuosity from the rest of the orchestra. We find it for the first time in the opening titles " Il Viaggio in Italia " (a1) and with some more or less significant variations in a4, b4 and b5. The joy of living that its music seems here to be expressed, in reality conceals a deep sense of bitterness. The second factor lies in the high dramatic feature of all other tracks wherein a few grave notes, marking their beginning, are played in turn by the violins, organ, bass and piano. This sort of "incipit" which in very truth is repeated at other times of each track, emphasizes the despair and anguish of the innocent prisoner often reflected by thin and minimal sonorities creating a hypnotic musical dimension. In conclusion, great music, in my humble opinion to be considered one of the best soundtracks of Rustichelli. I should add that there are stylistic similarities with the works of Morricone also for the presence of Bruno Nicolai who conducts the orchestra.
