STRICTLY GRADED
Notes : music Carlo Rustichelli, orchestra Bruno Nicolai. An excellent score featuring quite modern rhythms and sonorities, though the film set in Rome of 1st century. Romantic, blithe, folk and epic themes alternate. Among the tracks : " BLUES ANTICO ", a melancholy slow featuring jazzy flavours, " ISOLA INCANTATA " characterized by groovy romantic atmospheres with a special sound emitted by a string instrument which recalls the Hawaiian ukulele, " NOTTE ARABA "- exotic Arabian sound - " GLORIA AL SOLE ", a blithe and rhythmical tune with the presence of a female chorus. 16 tracks.
An Italian comedy, freely based on Petronius's work, starring Ugo Tognazzi, Valérie Lagrange, Tina Aumont, Don Backy, Franco Fabrizi, Mario Carotenuto, directed by Gian Luigi Polidoro.
