GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : in prevalenza temi malinconici e drammatici eseguiti da uno straordinario pianista ben supportato dall'orchestra. In aggiunta "... Mio caro tango" (a4) con un ottimo violino, "Blues" (b2) brano jazz con fiati, pianoforte e basso, la terza traccia del secondo lato, il cui titolo è sconosciuto perchè non riportato sull'etichetta a causa di un errore tipografico, caratterizzato da vivace musica jazzistica in stile anni 30 e "Danza Ellenica" (b4) bel sirtaki con un andamento sempre più rapido.

Notes : mostly melancholy and dramatic themes performed by an outstanding piano well-supported by orchestra. In addition "... Mio caro tango" (a4) led by a great violin, "Blues" (b2) with some jazz music played by brass instrument, piano and bass, the third track on the second title, whose title is unknown because it is not reported on the label due to a typographical error, characterized by lively jazzy music in the style of 1930s e "Danza Ellenica" (b4) nice sirtaki with increasingly fast development.
