Description
"Tropical Moderno": incredibly rare and amazing 1950s Latin jazz by Carlos Camacho y su Sexteto on Mexican Columbia DCA-34. Piano, electric guitar, vibraphone, bass, and lots of percussion. Vocals on several tracks, too. Boleros, Rumbas, Cha-cha-chas, Guarachas, etc. This is really a fantastic rarity.
This copy is somewhat scratchy and has marks and wear. But it plays amazingly well! There is a good amount of light crackle and ticking in places, but the music is always clear and undistorted, and usually louder than the background noise. Some of the time the ticking and noise is quite noticeable, but it is still very enjoyable and not at all ruined. The cover is in remarkably good shape, with only light edgewear, and a 1 1/2" seam split at the top. Overall just beautiful with that fantastic framable cover. This record usually sells in the $200-$300 range in better condition, so here is a bargain!
