CAROL KIDD All my tomorrows LP (UK) Aloi Records AKH 005 (1985 – 12 inch 33rpm vinyl LP, original U.K. stereo issue on Glasgow label, a subsidiary of Linn Products (manufacturer of high-end hi-fi equipment). This particular album has been listed on Audiophile magazine’s TAS Super Disc List and is now hard to find on original Aloi vinyl. Carol Kidd vocals, with Sandy Taylor piano, Alex Moore bass and acoustic guitars, and Murray Smith drums, augmented by Andy Morris violin, Andrew Martin violin, Ian Budd viola, Jeremy Fletcher cello, and on one track Martin Taylor electric guitar. Kidd is arguably the most respected of British jazz singers. Includes standards plus fine vocal versions of Thelonious Monk and Bobby Timmons compositions. All records are graded under a strong halogen lamp. I do NOT grade in daylight or use fluoro lighting which makes records look cleaner than they actually are! My gradings are very specific (see below). Sleeve and record may have different grades - the Ebay grading system is really not suitable for records IMO.

GRADING: I use the (U.K.) Record Collector grading system which includes an EX grade. American collectors please note that EX usually equates to a Goldmine VG++. All records are graded under strong light. I have always had a good reputation for grading and usually get it right. If you're not happy with my grading, tell me. I'm happy to refund if you have a genuine complaint. However, don't expect a near mint record if I've graded it F, G or VG... Records are graded for the most part visually only, although most of the lower grades are also play checked, and in many cases play better than they look. The following gradings are used: M, mint condition, unplayed, with no marks on playing surface and labels as new. Records are rare in this condition and it is a grading I rarely use. M-, mint minus, either unplayed, with minimum scuffs caused by paper sleeve, or played once or twice only and still as new. EX, excellent condition, record played carefully, very clean surface, minimum scuffing. (EX+ or EX- means a little better or worse). VG, very good condition, scuffing or signs of groove wear but no bad scratches. (VG+ or VG- means a little better or worse). G, good condition, well played with plenty of scuffs, light scratches and groove wear. F, fair condition, playable but heavily scuffed or scratched, with a lot of surface noise.
