Original 1968 Canada stereo press of LP on Metromedia label
Carolyn Hester Coalition ( self titled debut LP)
CONDITION:
cover: VG+
lite shelf wear/soiling ~ lite wear to edges/corners
faint beginning of lite ring ~3 or 4 small lite creases at spine.
vinyl: VG++ to Excellent
a couple of minor faint surface scratches & a few very lite surface marks
on a couple of cuts on side 1 ~ makes a bit of occasional lite crackle
& a couple pops / soft clicks in 1 or 2 spots ~ nothing that disturbs
fantastic psych LP that get’s a great review from
Joynson’s psych reference "Fuzz, Acid & Flowers"
~ here’s an excerpt:
…… fuzzed up folk/psych/rock, like a female folk/singer/songwriter meets Ill Wind. The best offering is the opening cut Magic Man which is mindblowing fuzz psych at its best. It is hard to find weak tracks on this album. The sound is typified by an excellent laidback fuzz guitar and political lyrics like in Half The World ("...Half of the world is starving, half of the world is overfed...!"). Other songs include Be Your Baby, the much recorded hippie anthem Let's Get Together, Journey and Buddha (Was Her Best Man) plus more. Recommended for folk/psych fans.
