About This Items


This album is a joy to listen to Karen's raw, spontaneous voice. When I close my eyes, I see her smile and think  back to the days when I was crazy about the Carpenters and the radio.  Next, it was a pleasure to be able to experience Richard's talent for arranging and structuring the stage to  maximize the appeal of the Carpenters on stage, which has more limitations than in the studio.  Finally, "Sing," which Karen sings in Japanese from beginning to end, is heard only on this album.  The performance with the Japanese children's chorus is delightful. Karen has been practicing singing in Japanese for quite some time, and she sings with aplomb, without the embarrassment one feels when listening to a foreign musician singing in faltering Japanese.

Condition

Jacket and sleeve are also in good condition with some soiling and staining. Record is excellent grade.

Includes 11 pages of commentary and lyric card.  Includes pinups of the two in their rare kimono outfits.
