CARTER LEWIS And The Southerners

Darling c/w Party Baby

Telefunken U 55 526  West Germany

EX Condition!

February 1963

“Party Baby” is the German language version of „Two Timing Baby”, written by Southern Music’s

Bob Kingston and Geoff Goddard.

First released on Ember S 145 in December 1961 this German version was released in Germany

more than one year later. Telefunken Records licensed recordings from Ember occasionally at that time.

Unfortunately it's not possible anymore to find out where (and when) and under which producer the German version has been laid down.

The English language recording was recorded in JOE MEEK’S studio at 304 Holloway Road. Musicians besides John Carter and Ken Lewis were Albert Lee on guitar, Chas Hodges on bass, Bobby Graham on drums and Geoff Goddard on piano.

Extremely hard to find and a must for every Joe Meek/RGM collector!
