CARTER LEWIS & SOUTHERNERS TELL ME EMBER EMB S165 1962
On auction is:
a CARTER, LEWIS and The SOUTHERNERS 45rpm entitled TELL ME c/w MY BROKEN HEART released in the UK on EMBER EMB S165 in 1962. Tell Me was composed by Geoff Goddard [a long term collaborator with the celebrated Joe Meek of RGM sounds] and is sought after by some Meek collectors as a result. This 45 does not have an original centre.
This sought-after and scarce record is visually in VG to VG- condition. It has several surface marks: none of which affect play.
The record labels have been scuffed slightly on the inner rim where the centre was removed. And there is one small ink mark on the 'm' of Ember on the Side 2 [My Broken heart] label.
The record is housed in a reproduction EMBER label company sleeve.
I have test played this record on my BOSE hi-fi system and it played well.
