Qui sotto il ciel (Gli Ugonotti)/E Lucevan le Stelle (Tosca) Enrico Caruso Pathé 84004/84006 Condition: E/E--
The 1903 AICC (Italian) Caruso recordings stand out for their alive quality and the way they captured Caruso's supple voice.  There were three made for AICC, and the best way to hear them is on Pathé's large vertical cut discs.  This 12" version is an early center start record.  Not surprisingly, the E Lucevan side has the most wear; there is also a scratch you can hear (shown above).  Still both sides have a lot of Caruso's color which is absent from his first 10 sides in Milan the year before.
