CAT STEVENS - TEA FOR THE TILLERMAN
ISLAND PINK LABEL 1970 RARE FIRST UK PRESSING WITH OUTER LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH HEAVILY TEXTURED INNER GATEFOLD IN STRONG VERY GOOD CONDITION AND PLAYS WITH EXCELLENT AUDIO.

Released in 1972 on the first press pink ISLAND label, I am offering today this original and rare first UK pressing of this classic album by CAT STEVENS titled "TEA FOR THE TILLERMAN". this was printed in small quantity before being changed to the common pink rim palm label. This is one of Cat's best albums alongside Mona Bone Jackon and contains some outstanding tracks, The vinyl retains in lustre and plays nicely with mostly excellent audio with just the occasional tick needless to say absolutely no sticks or skips etc .
The album comes complete with its original outer laminated gatefold sleeve which I would describe as is in very good condition, it has no splits or unwanted writing etc but shows a touch of wear to the corners of the spine.
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and it plays through nicely. Needless to say absolutely no sticks or skips etc.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually shows some light hairlines & audibly is in excellent condition. I have just played it through and can state that it plays with absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc but there is the odd light crackle.
The SLEEVE, The outer laminated gatefold sleeve is in clean condition with fully legible spine text and no splits stickers or unwanted writing etc but typical of these early seventies wide spine sleeves has some bunching to the inner gatefold and shows general shelf wear.
The LABELS, The first issue pink Island labels are clean, Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNER, The generic inner sleeve is clean and free from unwanted writing but has an edge split on the bottom seam.
THIS LP WAS PLAY TESTED ON A LINN AXIS THROUGH A MUSIC FIDELITY AMPLIFIER
