presents:
a first pressing of the rare 7 inch single "William Tell/ Love walked right in" by the CATS as released on Green light GLS 417 in 1969 in Holland. It comes in the original picture sleeve!
They were an instrumental band, playing ska and soul covers in London clubs, changing the band name to The Cats in Summer 1968. The group recorded ten tracks at Maximum Sound studios in Old Kent Road in September 1968. Their 1968 single, "Swan Lake", backed by "Swing Low", hit no.48 in early 1969, making them the first British reggae band to have a top fifty hit in the UK. According to Kpiaye "Swan Lake" was recorded during the Maximum Sound session, but roadie Mike Cole claimed that it was recorded in spare studio time after a Tex Withers and the Sidetrackers recording session, with Cole and members of the Sidetrackers playing on it.The single was released on the group's own Baf label. "Swan Lake" was later covered by Madness on their debut album One Step Beyond...; Subsequent releases by The Cats failed to chart, rendering them as one-hit wonders.

For other destinations this applies to orders over EURO 50. Postage to Holland is cheaper (euro 3,00) but Dutch customers can only pay through direct bank transfer and NOT through Paypal!
I will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail if not sent by registerd or insured mail!

Due to the growing number of winners not following up on their winning bids I have adopted the following policy on payment:
1. After the auction has ended the winner will recieve a notice with instructions on payment etc.
2. After 2-3 days ONE notice will be sent if confirmation has not been recieved
3. Payment is expected within one week after the auction has ended.
4. After that ebay will be notified and an Unpaid Item Dispute will be opened.
