Various Artists-1968 CBC Song Market Featuring Colors Of The Rainbow, CBC Radio Canada, LM 59, 1968.
Rare Canadian/radio broadcast-only (never available in stores) sunshine pop compilation featuring Barbara Gryfe, Laurie Bower Singers, Babs Babineau, Marie Andre, Wally Koster, Doug McLeod, Tommy Ambrose, Johnny Burt, Barbara Brian, Penny Machtel, Rick Wilkins, and Ricky Hyslop. Incredible material that measures up w/ the best Canadian sunshine pop (Mutual Understanding, Ben McPeek, Doug Randle, etc…). The Laurie Bower material here may very well be the vocal group’s best (easily on par w/ their work on The Mutual Understanding's In Wonderland… LP). This LP doesn't appear to be fully on the radar yet. Catch it now while you can! Yellow/black/blue labels CBC Transcription 1st pressing. No dealer gas up, I collect this sound!
