C.C.S. was the first studio album of the British blues outfit Collective Consciousness Society - formed in 1970 around blues legend Alexis Korner and vocalist Peter Thorup.
The rest of the line-up was rather loose and depended on people's availability but it included the likes of Tony Carr (drums), Harold Beckett (trumpet), Herbie Flowers (bass), Henry Lowther (trumpet) and Harold McNair (woodwind) to name but a few.
They were among the first groups to record on Mickie Most's new Rak label and had several hit singles, most famously a cover of Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love', which was used as the theme for BBC's Top Of The Pops

Both surfaces shine like new. Side Two has one harmless superficial hairline
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT/EXCELLENT+
Superb audio quality - deep, heavy, rich and warm with a great loud cut and my play-check at loud volume found little to fault - just a touch of surface on some of the quietest sections on Side Two - plays beautifully - jazzy, brassy Brit blues/rock at its finest
SLEEVE: EXCELLENT++
Lovely example - very little wear to speak of and the outer laminated surfaces have a deep glossy sheen
INNER SLEEVE: NEAR MINT
The original inner is clean, white and unmarked - no seam splits
