Description
ALEX TIGERWOOD AND CO / TROC old man river rare PROG JAZZ MUST hear
SUZELLE , original french pressing , 36001 , early 70°s
Very obscure lp under the name of ALEX TIGERWOOD ( vocals on SANTANA GROUP ) , this prog jazz lp is a really hard to get record , very low pressing , just known by the french prog addicts . In reality undder the LAEX TIGERWOOD name is the second TROC album , because all the team is reunited GIORDANO / CECCARELLI / TIGERWOOD , plus the music is quite simialr , a groovy jazz prog / FUTURE JAZZ ROCK . At this time TROC was very avant gardist because the action take place in the early 70°s while most of the group were playing PSYCH or PROG with a mostly rock influences , here TROC was already playing a fusion between SOUL / JAZZ / FUNK and PROGRESSIVE , just listen the solos and intros it is jazz , and the voice are defently sounding SOUL / ROCK , they mix the white and black music roots in the best way , and the result is vey fine , an almost all good lp with a killer side b and at least 5 killer tracks , some in the groovy vein of cortex , some more jazzy , etc.. ..ESSENTIAL try longsoundclip
Condition of the record is EX- , Cover / sleeve is EX-
