CECIL PAYNE QUARTET And QUINTET: SIGNAL Records (Mfd in the USA in the mid 50's) Self Titled - Original Vinyl Album - This is 1st Issue PROMO pressing. Engineered by RUDY VAN GELDER, it has RVG stamped in the Matrix Groove. The Matrix has on it: S-1202-A; there is also a sideways A and RVG. SIDE B has: S-1203-B; it also has a small upside down AB, a sideways A, and RVG. The Front Cover is in Excellent Condition, clean and flat with very little shelf wear. The Back is still white with no Bends and almost no shelf wear. It does have the Radio Station WICC written across the Top, and the Red PROMO Stamper marks along the Top. I got this from the original owner; his Brother worked at WICC in the 50's and often brought home Promo Records. This is one of them. The Labels are clean and New on both Sides. The Vinyl Record has its original gloss. It has several small and very light "paper scuffs." It looks Almost New. SIDE A plays a Very Strong VG+/VG++ and Better. SIDE B plays better; it plays at VG++/Almost New. I'm trying to accurately grade these Tracks and not overgrade anything; I hope that the Sound Clips will speak for themselves. I can ship this anywhere in the USA via Media Rate for 4.00. I can ship this to most Overseas Countries via First Class Mail for around $22.00; shipping to Canada will cost $15.00. I can only get to the Post Office once or twice a week, so please be patient. The POST OFFICE LOSES PACKAGES, don't blame me if it happens to you. PLEASE READ THIS: If bidding on this reaches $50-$120, and it ships to a non-US buyer, Registered Mail will be required in addition to First Class Postage, but I'll pay $7.50 of the $14.95 Registered Mail fee; Registered Mail is a little slower than 1st Class Mail, but it's more dependable, and it does provide a Tracking Number and some Insurance. If it sells for $120-$500 to a non-US Bidder, it will have to ship Air Priority, which will run around $50; I'll have to Insure it for the Full Amount at my expense, and declare Full Value on the Customs Form. If it sells for over $500, it will have to ship EXPRESS MAIL, which will cost around $90-$120. Since I will have to insure it, I will have to declare full sales value; if paying with some way other than Paypal, I can ship it any way you want. Paypal rules make it very difficult and expensive to ship anything out of the country now, since they require on-line Tracking Numbers.
