Description
This is a rare original issue of Cecil Payne on the obscure SIGNAL label. Features Kenny Dorham, Duke Jordan, Arthur Taylor, and Tommy Potter. 1st issue with deep groove "ear" label and RVG in deadwax; laminated cover. Cover is VG+ with a nearly 5 inch seam split at top right and some overall agewear. Some chipping at front right too where record slides out - see pics. Vinyl has a few long non-feelable scuffs/marks on both sides but they do not sound...pretty much just cosmetic only. Playback is quite nice with only the odd very soft crackle or click audible in a few spots; I would say VG++. Not dead silent, but a very enjoyable nonetheless with minimal (and mild) intrusions. A very rare and excellent album!
