Description
TITLE: The Absence of a Canary
ARTIST: Ceramic Hello
LABEL / YEAR: Mannequin MANLP 1 / 1981
REMARKS: Excellent minimal synth / cold wave record. Sounds like a cross between John Bender and IKO.
CONDITION:
VINYL = VG++, on the verge of NM. Deep sheen, hardly played, just a few hairs-breadth dust-scuffs. The album plays excellently, even in the quiet spots -- a great listen.
COVER = 8/10, a few light creases and minor wear – nothing serious. See scan.
GRADING: Records and covers are graded to Goldmine Standards to the best of my ability (covers are graded on a scale of one to ten: ten = perfect, one = most hideous piece of junk you could imagine). I do a very quick play grade for each record but do not listen to the item straight through. I simply try to listen for noise in the quiet spots and where flaws appear visible. I check for any warps that affect play. They will be mentioned if they do affect play. Very small ones that do not affect play will not be mentioned.
SHIPPING CONDITIONS: Buyer pays for the exact shipping charges. Sometime after auction close I will give you the cost of surface mail or air mail for your item – you choose. Insurance or tracking number are available but do add to the cost of shipping – ask beforehand. Please note that any items lost in the mail are not my responsibility, so a tracking number is recommended for expensive items. I will combine shipping.
SHIPPING COSTS: Shipping for Canada varies with postal code. For USA and Overseas here are the rates in US Dollars (you can choose either Air Mail or Surface Mail):

Please note that a gatefold cover may possibly add enough weight to put it in the 2-3 record weight category. The limit is 500 grams, which is very near the weight of 1 LP record, so it doesn’t take much to push it over that.
PAYMENT: I NOW ACCEPT PAYPAL. (I don’t like their fees but if ya can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.) I will still accept BIDPAY as well. Cash I will accept only if well-concealed.
Any and all non-paying bidders will receive bad feedback.
AFTER AUCTION: Please give me up to 48 hours after auction close to get back to the winning bidder regarding shipping totals. If I don’t respond right away do not freak out, I’m just busy getting these things packaged. In the meantime PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH YOUR ADDRESS, I really appreciate buyers who quickly initiate contact.
PACKAGING: Please be assured that I package all records extremely well in stiff cardboard – you will NEVER get a record sent to you in a flimsy envelope or silly bubble wrap. I mail the disc outside the sleeve. I collect records also, so all items are sent the way I would want to receive them.
FEEDBACK: As a seller I leave feedback only after the buyer has first done so.
