Here's a review "
A full jazz band incorporating bass, percussion, keyboards, a flute, saxophone, drums, guitars and a brass section accompanies Hull on the record. He takes control of the vocals on one song and is helped out by Bill Gale on three songs including the Burt Bacharach classic The Look of Love and the Isham Jones song It Had to be You, made famous by Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr, and most recently heard on a continental smallgoods campaign (does anyone remember that?) Also joining the vocals on four tracks is Noel McDonald, who sounds uncannily like Karen Carpenter, and whom initially I mistakenly thought was actually a guest female vocalist. Personally, I think the tracks where Gale is at the helm are a work a little better than McDonald, Gale sounding like the quintessential Sinatra brat pack crooner. The final track Song of the Sea is a 7-minute instrumental tour de force showcasing the talents of the entire band.
The press release claims this is an album dug up from the 70s, re-issued from only 200 privately pressed copies
