Description
For your consideration is an outstanding original Six Eye Columbia pressing of Charles Mingus' classic "Mingus Ah Um" Stereo pressing CS 8171. Deep Groove.
From my own personal collection. This is the best pressing of this album, bar none! Sound quality is out of this world. No pops or clicks. No distortion. Ultra quiet pressing!
Hot stamper indeed. The stamper numbers on the dead wax are 1AC (Side 1) and 1G (Sided 2)
Pressing is in MINT condition. And I rate very conservatively. This album was played very little over the past 50 years. I only played it twice while I owned it. I transferred it to digital and listened to the files to preserve the record.
Check the YouTube video below. It was made using the audio from this exact record. No digital manipulation was added. Sounds amazing!
Cover is conservatively rated VG++ and it is factory designated with the number 1 on the lower right corner, indicating a first edition. No markings or splits.
Record comes with its original 1959 Columbia paper inner sleeve. I am also including an audiophile rice paper sleeve as well to protect it.
The album will be shipped in a dedicated LP mailer and with the record outside the cover to prevent splits.
I really hate to part with this, as it is the finest vintage Six Eye pressing that I have. And I've collected Six Eye pressings for many years.
Absolutely astonishing! Satisfaction is guaranteed!!
I ship worldwide by Priority Mail International. I do not recommend First Class shipping because it does not provide any tracking.
