The following album came from a collection
from a person who was an avid Jazz collector
and VERY serious about taking care of his records!!!
More will be listed… Keep watching!!!
Up for bids is a great, rare, mono Jazz LP by Charles Mingus called "Mingus Ah Um". Columbia Records. CL 1370. 1959.RARE ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING!
DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!
Pressing plant number on back of cover, bottom-right is "1".
Side 1's trail-off ends with "1D". Side 2's trail-off ends with "1D".
Comes with original Columbia Records inner sleeve in VG++ condition (record will be shipped in separate polylined sleeve and outside cover).
NOTE:
The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.
Cover is in STRONG VG+ condition. Minor wear on front. Back has some minor wear. No splits! All edges are intact. Look at that spine photo! This is still a prime example of this cover!
I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG+ to VG++. Looks gorgeous with some visual superficial marks that do not affect play. One minor hairline on Side 1 hardly affects anything. First track on Side 1 distorts when solo trombone comes in. Overall, record still sounds amazing on my player!
Makes a great gift for any Mingus fan!
See my other auctions for more funky original records, cassettes, reel to reels, CD’s, and 8 tracks!
MY APOLOGIES IF THE SCANS ARE BAD, BUT MY DESCRIPTIONS ARE USUALLY DEAD ACCURATE FOR BACKUP.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL!
