Description

 Charles Mingus The Clown Atlantic 1260 black label original pressing classic narration LP. Jean Sheperd does the narration, Mingus blasts the bass and this is a great LP! The Haitian Fight Song and Blue Cee are superb reasons to buy this classic LP. Mono pressing in VG to VG+ condition, visually graded, has a few light hairlike surface marks that do not affect play. Curtis Porter (also known as Shafi Hadi who played with Hank Mobley on the world's most expensive Blue Note 5101), Wade Legge, Jimmy Knepper and Dannie Richmond the band and Mingus really plays the bass here, his solo on Haitian Fight Song is classic. Blue Cee is a Blues par excellence and the cover is VG, light discoloration on rear but no seam splits. Please do not make me regret not using a reserve. This is the real deal, an original pressing in VG to VG+ condition and well worth multiple bids. PayPal preferred and overseas bids welcome.
