Description
THIS IS A SUPERB COPY OF THE MONO RE-ISSUE OF THE CHARLIE MINGUS LP ‘PITHECANTHROPUS ERECTUS’ ISSUED IN THE UK ON THE ATLANTIC LABEL AND IS RARE IN THIS CONDITION! THE VINYL AND LABELS ARE IN MINT CONDITION. THE SLEEVE IS IN CLOSE TO MINT CONDITION.
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and NO spindle marks. I BOUGHT THIS RECORD NEW AND IT HAS ONLY BEEN PLAYED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND THEN ONLY ON TOP QUALITY HI-FI EQUIPMENT. The vinyl is in SUPERB condition with NO scratches, NO scuff marks and NO signs of wear. THE RECORD STILL RETAINS EVERY BIT OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK! The record sounds as STUNNING as the visual! It plays with CRYSTAL CLEAR UNDISTORTED SOUND, NO sticking, NO groovewear, NO jumps, and NO crackle! The record plays SUPERBLY with ZERO DISTORTION! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way! Brilliant!!
The cover is in CLOSE TO MINT condition (see pictures). There is NO seamwear, NO wear to the open edges. The front of the cover retains ALL of its original glossy look, with ONLY VERY LIGHT ringwear, NO wear to the spine and NO creases to the main area of the cover. The only defect I can see to the front of the cover is a HINT OF A THUMB CREASE just above the bottom right corner. The back of the cover has 2 x 1cm LIGHT horizontal creases to the left of the spine, 2 x 1.5cm vertical creases above the bottom edge, some LIGHT ringwear and a record shop sticker.
The front of the cover retains ALL of its original glossy look!
This is a SUPERB copy of this RARE item!!!
I TRY TO MAKE MY DESCRIPTIONS OF THE CONDITION OF ITEMS VERY PRECISE.
SEE FEEDBACK FROM MY RECENT BUYERS AND BID WITH CONFIDENCE.
For packaging I use strong record boxes with extra stiffeners to stop damage and bends to the cover. All LPs are sent out with the record packed separately from the original cover to stop splits and damage to the cover.
