From 1956, comes Charlie Parker with his LP The Genius Of Charlie Parker on Savoy MG12014 MONO. Charlie Parker had died earlier on Saturday March 12,1955. Savoy Records then decided to release all of the unreleased versions of his most famous compositions. That is what this album is. There are fourteen songs. Backing artists include Miles Davis, Bud Powell, Tommy Potter, Max Roach, Duke Jordan, Curly Russell, Dizzy Gillespie, John Lewis, Nelson Boyd, Tiny Grimes, Clyde Hart, Jimmy Butts, Harold West, Slim Gaillard, Jack McVea, Dodo Marmarosa,Tiny Brown, Zutty Singleton. A rare LP, in great condition.
