Description
Up for auction is an original pressing of the ultra rare LP of Charlie Parker "The Bird Blows The Blues" on the Dial Label (DLP 1). This was the first Jazz 12" record ever made, in the spring of 1949. The LP was available by mail order only, in 1949, then was re-issued on Dial 901. This record was not issued with a cover. this LP is extremely rare, with possibly less than ten worldwide. The glossy vinyl is in good condition with lots of light marks and some hairline scratches & soft scuffs. This LP play grades better then it looks. The vinyl does not skip or stick. The vinyl does play with some background sound that does not overwhelm the music.
