Description

  • Cheap Trick released their landmark live album "Cheap Trick At Budokan" in February 1979 on Epic Records. The ten tracks were recorded during two shows in April 1978 at the Nippon Bukokan hall in Tokyo, Japan. It was originally only intended for release in Japan but demand for imported copies in the U.S., caused in part by the sudden success of the single "Surrender" from their album "Heaven Tonight," resulted in the release of what would become the band's best selling album.

  • This Promo copy of (FE 35795) is from the First Pressing and is in excellent condition. The gatefold cover still has its gloss and is easily VG+ as is the 12-page Picture & Lyrics Booklet which is written in English and Japanese. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Sterling Sound in NYC and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif.  The Side One dead wax is etched 2 S AL 35795-1E A7 and stamped STERLING.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.  It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 42 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
