Here's your opportunity to own a RARE piece of history from a soon-to-be Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band, the great Cheap Trick! This is a two LP deal, here's the history and what makes this rare. Cheap Trick was still trying to break in the US where they were very popular with only the critics, but in Japan, they were HUGE, bordering on Beatlemania like adulation. They released 'From Tokyo To You', a live set from their shows at the Budokan. THIS IS NOT THAT IMPORT! When their record company saw how many import copies of this live album were selling in the US, they released 'Live At Budokahn'. Before this happened, Epic Records put out this promotion 7 song promo demonstration album to radio stations. The tracks on it are the same recordings from 'Live At Budokahn', minus the tracks 'Surrender' and 'Need Your Love', and with a DIFFERENT TRACK ORDER! The demo LP of 'From Tokyo To You' is hard to find, bordering on very rare. I'm selling both these LPs together for one price. 'Live At Budokan' includes the original multi-page booklet, the gatefold cover is solid, no splitting, fine spine, but signs that it had stuck to another album at some point with a bit of the photo pulled away, and a bit of residue that I'll try to clean (I cleaned it and aside from particles of the photo pulled away, the cover looks nice and clean now). The vinyl is Very Good Plus, with some minor marks on it but is a wonderful play copy with color and shine still on it, SOUNDS GREAT! MAYBE THE BEST MOST FUN LIVE ALBUM EVER!!! "From Tokyo To You" has a typical plain white cover with 'For Promotion Only' in gold lettering, but it is a bit age dinged with ring wear, but no splitting. The vinyl is a STERLING master copy and SO CLEAN AND SHINY!
