Starting with the "Red Ant" album in 1997, Cheap Trick has mounted a comeback. They've always been a great live band (I've seen 'em 60 times, going back to 1974), and still are to this day. Both "Rockford" & this album, "The Latest", were as strong as many of the band's early releases. This one's one of the more Beatle/Lennon-esque CT albums, but there's also the monster stomp of "Sick Man Of Europe" (coulda been on the first album!), and a cover of Slade's "When The Lights Are Out". It's a treat all around, the band sounds great, as does the indestructable Robin Zander. If it turns out that "The Latest" is drummer extraordinaire Bun E. Carlos' Cheap Trick swan song, he went out on a high note.

Condition : Mint Minus, played once ( I also bought the CD), still in original shrink wrap. LP kept in plastic lined sleeve.
