Previously buried for 45 years in Jean Schwarz's archives, we're finally gifted a chance to hear a stunning recording which finds GRM member Schwarz facing off with the mighty Don Cherry. The performance was recorded in 1977 at the Paris MIX festival, organised by GRM and placing Cherry's spirital jazz in context with the experimental electronics Schwarz and his colleagues were exploring at the prestigious Parisian institution. This is somewhere out beyond the realms of holy grail material, restored and remastered with care and presented as a frankly unbelievable treat for all lovers of spiritual jazz and experimental music.
