A must-have for Northern Soul collectors! This powerful and emotive track by Cheryl Williams is a hidden gem from the golden era of soul, released on the legendary Bengee Records label in 1966. With soaring vocals and a driving beat, Everybody’s Happy But Me has become a dancefloor favourite and is rarely seen on the market.
The B-side, I’m Your Fool, is a classic in its own right – a deep soul cut that showcases Williams’ vocal range and heartache-filled delivery.
There is a small extra piece of vinyl which can be shown on the Happy But Me side if you zoom on the left but this is outside the circumference of the vinyl and does not impact the play at all. It could likely be removed with a nail file and some careful filing but as it has no bearing at all I've never touched it. It does not impact the play, it does not result in any off centre situation, and what you are getting here is a class slab of soul that is a serious collectors item.
