Description

Thinning things out with a small stack of vintage Jazz from my personal collection -- things I just don't want anymore or have upgraded. These are all vintage pressings, not modern represses. I use Goldmine grading (M, NM, VG+, VG, G, P), so ebay's "EX" is my "VG+". I try to grade conservatively, but you know we all have our own opinions on these things. Be confident that if a record doesn't meet your expectations, you can return it.




  • Chet Baker in New York
  • Riverside 12-281 original small blue deep groove mono
  • Sleeve is right on VG/VG+ for me. There are no splits - the seams are all solid. Just some corner rubbing, discoloration along the front opening and a little discoloration and name written on the back.
  • Vinyl is strong VG with scattered surface hairlines and scuffs. There's light non-distracting background noise in spots, the occasional click and tic - you know what I'm talking about. It's still a very nice listen. I played it on both my mono and stereo carts. Mono comes through louder and richer, while stereo is a little flatter but also a bit more forgiving.
  • All in all I consider this a very respectable copy of a rare side. Only selling because I upgraded my copy.

Shipping $5.50. U.S. only, please. All records ship in cardboard LP mailers. The inner sleeve and record are removed from the jacket and everything is placed in a plastic outer sleeve.
