Description

Up for auction is an original acetate from around 1963 by The Cheynes featuring the song they later released on Columbia "Respectable".
The label is for "Universal Programmes Corporation Limited" and is stamped with "Park West Productions".
The track was recorded at  the iconic IBC studios, 35 Portland Place London W1 where many of the emerging stars of the English
rock and blues scene would make their first demos.
This is a different version of the official Columbia release done at a slightly slower tempo with different sounding vocals, piano etc.
It would have probably been Mick Fleetwoods first ever professional recording and therefore a piece of rock history.
To my knowledge no other copy has ever turned up.
The acetate itself is in very good condition but needs a clean which I will leave to the buyer as I would not like to damage anything.
I have test played this only once and recorded it to computer...please listen below.
This is a rare chance to own a unique recording of a Freakbeat/Garage classic.
