LA BANDA VALLANZASCA ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by GIAN PAOLO CHITI and SERGIO MONTORI. Original Italian pressing on the CINEVOX label (MDF 116), from 1977. Absolutely, killer OST funk from these cult Italian soundtrack and Library arrangers. The aggressive DESPERATION AND MONEY theme is easily one of the best of the entire Poliziottesco / Poliziotteschi film music genre. Musically, it blows Stelvio Cipriani's Astaroth single clean out the water :) Comped on IL Dramma N. 15 - Roll Theme by Disques Dessinee in Japan and also Attori A Mano Armata by the Italian Cinedelic label. For us, the original soundtrack single has the alternative and far superior funky version of DESPERATION AND MONEY compared to the Digitmovies split CD with Roma L'Altra Faccia Della Violenza score. Top of the top exploitation groove containing super-tuff hi-hats / funked-out basslines / latin congas / fender rhodes / wah wah / sleazy disco orchestrations / stoned and spacey synthesizer vamps. Endless, flowing breaks for DJs into the euro blaxploitation film / Italian cop thriller sound. No full soundtrack Lp or Library exists, only this single. Outstanding, mood music from the obscure and violent La Banda Vallanzasca film directed by Mario Bianchi starring Enzo Pulcrano / Stefania D'Amario / Antonella Dogan and Gianni Diana. A modern film on the Milanese gangster, Vallanzasca, was released in Italy a few years ago with lead actors and extras clothed in late '70s fashions from the archive of my girlfriend's vintage clothing business. Inspired artwork sleeve design too. Rare OST 45!!!

Vinyl is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with a few hairlines. Booming production sound. Some light surface noises. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with light wear in places. Some ring creasing from storage. Some faded, old age spots on the sleeve. Rare OST 45!!!
