Description
This is the short-lived UK Decca duo Chocolate Watch Band (Osborne/Oliver), not the US garage band of the same name.
1967 first press of this rare 60s pop single. The A-side is orchestrated British toytown psychedelia, but the B-side "What’s It To You" has the harder-driving rhythm and sharp guitar work and aggressive production of freakbeat or mod beat. It may be of interest to collectors of the Rubble or Chocolate Soup for Diabetics series.
Has just been cleaned in a Spincare record cleaner and static removed with a Zerostat gun. Then play tested (see video).

- Visual: Lots of hairlines and light scuffs under inspection light. Tear to lower part of A-side label, where a sticker has been removed.
- Play test: Plays right through without any skips, loud pops or locked grooves. There's some sibilant distortion (hissing/grit) on the vocal 'S' sounds, but that appears to actually be on the recording (listening to it on Spotify has exactly the same thing). Odd tick here and there. Just a teeny bit crackly at run-outs.
- Decca company sleeve has short tear at bottom right of centre ring, on front side only.
