Description

<>

Finally, I'm back to listing more JAZZ Records! This week we have some of the great 10" records from the early to mid 1950s and -if I can get to it (hoping!) some very cool 7" EPs.
More to come!!

<>CHRIS CONNOR

<>Sings Lullabys of Birdland

<>Bethlehem Records BCP-1001 <> Mono <> Original 1954 U.S.A. Pressing <> 10" LP

COVER: NEAR MINT ~Extremely glossy front and bright back have virtually no wear. No creases, marks or soil. All seams and spine 100% intact with NO wear or splits. All corners sharp.

VINYL: NEAR MINT ~Gleaming glossy vinyl looks and plays like new. Bright, direct light reveals no scratches/hairlines/scuffs. Silver on maroon Bethlehem labels are rich, bright and clean with no wear. The only thing at all to take this superb copy out of true MINT territory are a few very faint spindle trails at center of label.

STRICT, CONSERVATIVE GOLDMINE Ratings!
(See PHOTOs)

This is Chris Connor's first recording (and I believe, the first ever release of a Bethlehem record!) A great start on an illustrious and prolific career for both. This legendary session is backed by The Ellis Larkins Trio.
Please see my other auctions, up now, for her 2nd release and other great female vocal jazz!

Part of a superbly cared for and deep jazz collection from a recently purchased estate out of Pebble Beach. I hope to list as many of these as I can through the coming weeks. I only have time for about 20 per week; trying to get up as many as I can.

This record is kept in a protective, clear poly outer-sleeve, as you shall receive it.

NOTE ON PHOTOs: Once again, I must mention that the REDS on the record label are completely blown out by the eBay Picture "Services". The reds may appear blotchy and smeary here OR the silver PRINT on the labels may appear "invaded" (overwhelmed and made faint) by the surrounding reds (depending on your computer). It neither appears this way in my original jpeg or on the record itself. The label actually is a normal, very clean, sharp, even, deep red with sharp, clear silver print, as it should be. (This is starting to make me crazy...)
