Description
CHRISTINE PERFECT s/t, ORIGINAL STEREO 1ST UK PRESSING from 1970, released on BLUE HORIZON with the cat no. S 7-63860 and stamped -1, -1 matrixes.
Brief Info: This first solo album was issued just after Perfect had left Chicken Shack and before joining Fleetwood Mac – hardly a household name until marrying John McVie and establishing herself in Fleetwood Mac – this Blue Horizon original sold in only modestly. Now highly sort-after by Blues and Blue Horizon collectors and seldom seen in anything like top conditions, this now a legendary album on the famous blues label. The back cover states she was Britain’s only full-time professional female rhythm and blue singer and pianist – she would soon become a blues legend in her own right as the success of Fleetwood Mac flourished and being a stable member for many years. Backed by a host of quality musicians, including her future husband, this is a beautiful album. It includes the hit single I’d Rather Go Blind and the beautiful Danny Kirwin song When You Say as featured on Fleetwood Mac’s third album Then Play On.
A note on grading: I use the RC standard grading policy with the addition of a + or – to denote a slight increase or decrease in grade. The record has been played once for aural grading a on a Rega RP6 with a Rega Exact cart and inspected under 100W bulb for visual grade.
The shiny vinyl is in FLAWLESS TOP MINT minus condition, has one ultra light, barely visible inaudible mark. Plays great EXCELLENT plus with very very low-key surface sound. Sound is just superb from A to Z. Has the odd ultra faint tic here and there. Still consistent with superb close to MINT sound.
The very sensitive & matt cover without splits, tapes, tears, writings, stamps ect., in stunning & clean EXCELLENT to EXCELLENT plus condition.
The B side of the label seems to be a bit dirty and somehow discolored (please study the pictures closely).
All items dispatched within 24 hours of payment, same working day for payments received by 3pm.
Money back guarantee if not delighted! Check my comments and place our bids without any worries.
PACKING: All vinyl is shipped with record outside the cover to avoid seam splits in transit. Extra stiffeners, foam wrap and high quality mailers ensures your record is dispatched to arrive in top condition. I'm very proud of the fact that I cannot remember the last time I had damage in transit.
