Chrome - The Visitation (Siren, U.S. `76)

Ridiculously rare SEALED original first press with the stenciled/spraypainted cover. Despite the homemade cover, the seal IS genuine - the LP was part of the large promo stash of an underground music writer active during the late `70s/early `80s. He also had sealed copies of all the other original Chrome Siren label releases. I guess Damon & co. must have painted the sleeves, then delivered them to the pressing plant to be sealed up along with the discs.

This is the rarest Chrome vinyl artifact, a one-chance-only chunk of America's acid-damaged pre-punk undergound out of the same parallel universe as early Pere Ubu, Debris, Todd Clarke, et al.

The few copies of this first issue that have turned up on online auctions (none mint as far as I have seen) have gone for $300+
I'm not sure how many of these handmade covers were created, but Chrome completely re-did the cover a year or so later, with a new design and regular printing.
I know we all hate reserves, but due to the extreme rarity and overall awesomeness of this record, I have put a reasonable reserve price on this.
