MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Cameo-Parkway Records very first “MICRO LP” Mono press released, made and distributed in Spain in 1963 by Hispavox S.A. (Hispavox Records), catalog number HCP 264-02, with hand etched matrix numbers HCP-264-02-A-1 in Side A and HCP-264-02-B-1 in Side B, with red/black/white Hispavox-Cameo-Parkway Records labels. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! Amazing rarity for all Chubby Checker and early rock’n’roll lovers, fans and collectors!!!

The first to tell about this rare 7” MICRO LP” is that it was ONLY RELEASED IN SPAIN in 1963, a collection of 6 songs “especially selected to dance”. The cover is also UNIQUE, made in a laminated gatefold form (inner sides are not laminated) with the mouth placed in the right inner side and a real spine. Front cover has a picture of Chubby Checker with a Basset Hound dog, with title written in Spanish only and the songs included in the “Micro LP 33” (as also informed at top edge), and Cameo-Parkway logo and catalog number. Back cover informs “Micro LP 33” at top edge and has the front covers of other 4 EP’s by Chubby Checker recommended. In one of them (HCP 267-08), the picture is the same of this record. In inner cover at left side it’s an introduction of the record and Chubby Checker, written in Spanish only and in the right side it’s the album title and the tracklist, written in English, with only “Puré De Patatas” translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and time of each song. In labels album title is written in Spanish with the tracklist written in English only, except for “Puré De Patatas”, which’s written in Spanish and translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and time of each song. This EP Plays at 33 1/3 rpm. So, here you have the chance to own this UNIQUE “MICRO LP” ONLY RELEASED IN SPAIN with UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG+ or EX- condition, with some creases, light ring marks, some wear in edges, more evident in corners and right side edge, complete and without seam splits. The record is in great EX or even EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only scuffs and some soft hairlines, which don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in great EX- or EX condition the Side A, clean and clear, with minimal spindle hole wear and a sticker with a catalog number of the radio station which originally owned this record, and in NM- or NM condition the Side B, absolutely clear and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some occasional soft crackles more evident in the more silent parts between tracks, which don’t really affect the experience to listen and enjoy this record from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record in this MEGARARE PRESS and after 59 years it will satisfy any serious collector!!! And don’t forget the UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE and the most important, this EP was ONLY RELEASED IN SPAIN!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

___________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
