Description
Here it is, the classic Cirkus One album - the original pressing on RCD1 - one of only a thousand. Supposed to be one of the best independent prog rock albums ever. But you know all that already. What I'd better get on to is the description... So, starting with the record, I'd have to say it looks about perfect. It has been played - there are some spindle marks around the centre of the label, but no scratches, no marks, nothing at all - just very shiny and clean. I guess you could say it was mint, but I'll go for EX+ Now for the cover, which I'd rate at VG, or maybe VG+ (although that really depends what you think of the writing on it!) The front is very nice, no major marks or anything, though you can see the usual outline of the record, and the inside is even better, very nice indeed. The worst bits of it are the spines, that are a little bit sscuffed. The back cover has more noticeable 'record rings' - but, again, no major marks. There are no tears, sticker marks or anything like that - though there is some writing... The writing, as you can see, is actually the signature of the five band members, on the front 'globe'. There is also an envelope that was inside the record that contains the same five signatures - and the sme wishes of "all the best" to Martin - and also has a stamp for Newcastle Polytechnic on it (the envelope, that is, nothing to do with the record or sleeves). Whether these signatures increase or decrease the value, I have no idea; I guess that's entirely up to you... Now, one more: all proceeds from this sale will be going to Oxfam - and to helping overcome poverty and suffering - and you will probably notice this is an Oxfam eBay account. It is the first time we have used it, and that is why we don't have any feedback, however I have sold records on behalf of the shop before, on my own eBay account, and if you put in my user name - rubsley - you will see that I have 100% feedback, over several years and almost a hundred buyers and sellers. So don't let that zero feedback rating put you off!
