Clarke Boland Sextett-Music For The Small Hours,original german stereo pressing from 1967 on the white-red-gold Columbia-label,SMC 74324.10 tracks performed by Sahib Shihab,F.Boland,Joe Harris,Fats Sadi,J.Woode,K.Clarke.Please take a look at the pictures below(label,backcover)!
Condition:both record-sides show a lot of hairlines & surface marks,there are no deep/feelable scratches and therefore there are no skips or jumps,the record plays well through,but: on most of the tracks you’ll have a constant crackling/noise in the back,beeing more prominent in the quieter parts.There are 3 tracks wich could be graded as vg(+)(Ebony Samba,Ensadinado,Wives ans Lovers=this plays more vg++/ex-),the other 7 tracks play more g(-).The cover’s back and front are okay,with the lamination being intact,there is some rub on the upper and lower seam(not much),but no split.On the side seam there is a ca.4 cm split,ex-.
I am sorry that I cannot offer you a mint- copy,please bid only if you will be happy with the described condition!All my other items are in outstanding conditions,I list this one only due to it’s rarity!
If you want the music in mint,I also offer an unplayed copy of the “Calypso Blues” 2-record set released by SCHEMA,wich is deleted by now and contains the whole “Small Hours”-Album as well as the “Swing Im Bahmhof”-Album plus more recordings by this fantastic group!
