This really is one of the most exciting of the Classic Record reissues, because this Petrouchka was never issued by RCA in stereo. The original LM-2113 was a mono-only issue, but the Firebird Suite was later issued in true stereo on Victrola. The Petrouchka, despite having been recorded in stereo also, was passed over, presumably because Monteux subsequently re-recorded it with the Boston Symphony. Apart from a brief appearance on a late London STS issue, this Classic Records issue is its only stereo issue. It is also exciting to see the nice Chagall cover with the "Living Stereo" banner on it!
This is a very early Factory-Sealed pressing of the mid-1990’s Classic Records issue, on 180-gram vinyl.
