""The Look of Love" was designed as a centerpiece for the James Bond film Casino Royale. For one of the slowest-tempo hits of the sixties, Song writer Burt Bacharach created the sultry melody by minor-seventh and major-seventh chord changes, while Hal David's lyrics epitomized longing and lust.This song was recorded in two versions at the Philips Records Studios of London. The soundtrack version was recorded on January 29, and the single release version on April 14. "The Look of Love" was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song of 1967. This song was a Top 10 radio hit in California, where she was most popular -- when the rest of the nation finally caught on, it became a timeless sensation of the sixties.
This 1967 original album places the sublime title cut and sensitive recording of "They Long to Be Close to You," and the great little-known number "Take Me for a Little While" next to versions of "Sunny" and "Come Back to Me." Other highlights include "I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself" or "Anyone Who Had a Heart"-- Dusty delivers vocal performances that make most singers sound emotionally illiterate. Her tender delivery of "Give Me Time" is worthy of repeated listens, and the driving "What's It Gonna Be" is one of her most urgent vocals of all-time.The most excessive moments of the Lp provide broad hints as to why Dusty Sringfield was a 'happening' sensation.

CONDITION: The cover is clean and stiff (MINT) still in original factory shrink wrapper with NO problems anywhere. No bends, no split seams, no writing. Tiny bb delete at bottom left ~ flat and square with 4 sharp corners.
The vinyl is all clean and minty smooth (M-) ...TOP 43 year old collectible!
