We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Hard to find (this) CLEAN and = RARE original 1969 first pressing of a really strange underground band with the legendary Walter Rossi (Charlie) on guitar...The Influence have influences(!) of the Mothers Of Invention while utilizing their own special brew of melodic infused garage-psych....
Influence were one of the most fascinating bands to emerge from Canada during the '60s. The group's rich diversity of styles was a result of the group members' wide range of musical backgrounds and geographical origins.
The band's driving force was lead guitarist Louis McKelvey who was a member of the legendary garage beat band The A-CADS, and also spent a short while with Les Sinners...McKelvey recruited another amazing guitarist into the band, Walter Rossi and together they found the right ingrdiants for their freaky edged rock band "The Influence" ...Their album makes it easy to understand why they chose their name, as it is more or less filled with stoned hippie rock styles. Many satirical elements inject the strong influence of Zappa, on whom they clearly lean too heavily, or just perfectly, depending on the listeners preferences. Their love of discordant guitar riffs and 'wrong' modulations works brilliantly on at least two tracks: We Are Here, a sour masterpiece on lost love and Natural Impulse. Lyrically Zappa is omnipresent as becomes hearable in the choice of admittedly transitional subject-matter such as sodomy (on County Fair) and the longing of the gentry to mingle with the peasants (on Sir Archibald). Parodies on The Marcels, Little Richard and the hippie-movement in general sound far-out, and very hip in 1968. Worth trying to get....
